EB FROG set reviews

Hi,

I'm currently contemplating EBairsoft's FROG suit: http://www.ebairsoft.com/usmc-operat...ts-p-2223.html

Has anybody seen it for real? What do you think of it?

I'm more the guy who will buy genuine BDUs as they are not much more expensive and are guaranteed to be the right color, but for FROG suits it's a bit different, being harder to find in good shape and much more expensibe.

Also, the pattern looks more like desert MARPAT than AOR1, but is it at least a good MARPAT copy?

Thanks!

Yeah... before getting my issued MARPAT MCUU, I had chinese copy and colors sucked, but that was woodland version... I don't know how the chinese desert MARPAT looks like.

FROG is USMC kit, hence Desert MARPAT.

Pattern is in fact desert marpat like pugs mentionned, the BDU cut is much closer to AOR1 though. Personally I got my real set for less than 200$ shipped and it is well worth it.

You might want to take a look around ebay and be patient instead of buying something cheaper that will be deceiving and will only make you buy the real deal after.

You're right, I screwed up my references

Like I did for a lot of other gear... Makes sense, but at the same time I don't think I will use it that often. I want it mainly just so I have an arid camo in case I need it, while keeping my woodland MARPAT as my main BDU.
But.... if it's shit, it may not be worth it.

Actually I've been quite impressed with the EB PCU, so it may not be that bad... I don't know, lol.

For now I'll keep check on eBay from time to time, and if I don't find a deal, I'll just buy the replica in may.

...or... for now, I get a CWU-27/P as my desert kit.

In summer if you go for tan team you'll LOVE your FROG. I'm with Brakoo on that one. Buy genuine, there are LOADS on Ebay and prices aren't that bad.

Also EB is crap my book. Yes I always go for genuine but frankly there are WAY better repro out there.

If you're on a budget buy desert marpat, underarmor tshirt (again they run cheap on Ebay) and find yourself a tailor. Did this in the past for a DCU shirt and it came out pretty nicely at a fraction of the cost of a Crye uniform!

I wouldn't go for a genuine Crye combat suit at 300$ the pants and 250$ the shirt... I mean, as much as I love quality and authenticity, it's still airsoft.

That being said, I just checked on eBay and there's a small-reg FROG shirt for 75$ shipped... I'm pretty tempted.
I could always buy the pants in a surplus when I'll go to the US this summer.

I'm also looking for a woodland BDU, RAID'ed if I can, and that will be genuine or nothing for sure (I know that those in this pics aren't RAID'ed). Woodland is so cheap, that going for repro is plain stupid.

Not a bad idea... If I were to do this, and to make it accurate, do you know if there's a template or at least detailed pics I could hand them to make sure the arm pouchs are the right size and placement?

I got my woodland and DCU raided shirt on ebay too. Back then I found a deal on brand new Propper shirt and they were going for 30-35$ + shipping.
