Paint Project gun : Weathered MP5 (56k head a-splode)
So, back in the summer I had received a late birthday gift. An aftermath Lycaon. When I got home from travelling I opened it up, painted it, shot it a bunch and the like, and it eventually found itself sitting in my closet for a good long time.
Now, I was bored, I have my warhammer paints sitting here infront of me... And well, I wanted to try something Killbucket-esque with the guns paintjob. Why not make the thing looked weathered? The dull plastic sheen of the gun was boring enough, even with the paint over it. So, I got a big brush, prepared for drybrushing... And well, did just that. I'm not finished yet, but tell me what you think! So far, so good I think, I'm gonna need to do something with the furnature, gonna have to scratch it up to an extent I think. The paint I used before was Rustoleums matte black, didn't turn out as 'matte' as I would've liked so that kinda turned me off from the gun for a while. Then I drybrushed a miniature paint called 'boltgun metal' over it, Now it looks great. Haha, all plastic too! Might be a first here~ I'm tempted to keep this gun plastic |

The flash don't do it justice.
But I like the idea. If I ever get an AK, that's what I would be doing to it. I just don't dig the OD lower and handguard. MP5 are ment to be black. I guess I'm a purist when it come to these type of weapons.

Also, another thing that can be cool is to drybrush a few edges in silver.
Also, use a set of key and generously mark the "plastic" zones. You could also remove them from the gun and move them around in some small rocks. Then, take some black primer and spray a light coat over the marks. Quickly wipe it off with a piece of cloth. It'll remove the look of plastic and give and some nice weathering |

Receiver portions look good but the Aftermath stock furniture is absolutely awful and you need to do something with it. A matte black krylon to get rid of the shiny cheap plastic would be okay.
Mp5 lowers aren't restricted, you could just get another lower with the fire select markings.

Yes, I know but in the "Pimp My gun" there wasn't just a upper reciver. Lower is actually black.
Thanks.
