WE SCAR +100fps jump!
When I first purchased my WE Scar I had crono it at a field before a game and it was 370-380fps with 0.2's @ about 20C outside temp. I had a friend who was placing a order for parts and he asked me if I wanted to piggyback some parts on to his order, So I grab some tan WE propane mags. Today I just crono my Scar in my basement it was 472-453-479-471!! Its pretty much been hanging on my display wall for acouple of months. Any of you guys with GBBR come across this?

From past knowledge iv had a chrono state that my PTW was shooting 100fps more than what 3-4 other chrono's from diff games said.
I would suggest testing your SCAR on a couple chrono's. Some people have shitty chrono's will other use chrono's for RS which i'm told can get you diff numbers when used with airsoft guns. It could also be the weather. |

Yes, I've seen my WE-M4 show as 500+FPS on one chrono, and then the chrono next to it shows 300-400, so it could be your chrono. Try the old pop-can penetration test, that's pretty reliable.

I use two different Chrono's to make sure of what I'm getting! One Madbull & the X3200. They seem to read the same though. The X3200 though can do alittle more

you do realize thats not reliable at all right? different batches of aluminium from different companies will give different results. The best way to do the chrono is still using a recording device perferable on compture, set your self so you will shoot approx a known distance. fire the gun and have the sound recorded. Looking at the sound wave, find two peaks at it, remember grade 11 physics? V =D/t aka velocity = distance /time

Sometimes chronos will pick up the gas and not the BB. This happens with the enclosed chronos, and leads to wild variations in readings. An open chrono like the F1 is immune to this, but comes with it's own problems of insufficent IR if used indoors in your basement without a good light source.
Popcan will at best give you maybe a 50 fps window.

Thanks for the reply guys. I think it will be easier to try on another crono.

Computer he means lol. I've done this in the past, to get both muzzle velocity and rate of fire.

Yeah that's a good method if you've got the space and the equipment.

Fire into a box with a pillow in it, You still get a loud enough smack without worry about a ricochet.
