Question Umarex MP5

I've found a Umarex MP5 on Craig's list and the guy says it runs on AA batteries. Two questions: Is this true? Can I replace the AA's with a real battery pack?

lol, the first 'AEG' I owned was a TM 'Boys' model M4, 85% size. It ran off AA batteries, four in the handguard. They lasted about 180 rounds.

get the umarex mp7, I got one bass pro shops sells them. my was a lemon though, stopped feeding after two months and the stock wouldn't slide out I disassembled it, which is hard, and removed the stock entirely. the gun worked perfectly after that point, until one day it stopped feeding, coincidentally I was using 0.15g CQBBs. if you don't get a lemon it is a good gun.

p.s. their website doesn't have them, but I saw them there when I bought my kraken
