Are Swiss Arms red dot sights any good, quality wise?

Unless my research is totally off, no, they're no good.

Edit: I guess I stand corrected. They're decent for their value as long as you don't get the CHEAPEST one, which I was thinking of.

Do you mean those $13 ones? I'm expecting you saw them at forest city surplus... In all honesty, they look cool, but no, they aren't good. Mine doesn't adjust at all since I got it. Cool for display though.

well since you are most likely on a small budget, for $50 you could get a Tasco red dot from Canadian Tire. I got one, and it has 11 levels of brightness and is clearly visible with both eyes open from 5 feet away. It also adjusts to fit any rails you may have.

It was at forest city surplus but was running $80, had 7 level adjustable brightness with slightly raised mount. Going to try and post a working link to a website that carries same model. Hope it works.

I wouldn't do it. I have seen those things crack shatter and stop working all outside of a game scenario. Now that specific one I can't say 100% but unless you have held a similar product (same brand/replica of same value, this is chinese stuff...) I would not even consider it. To make things worse on you Swiss Arms is like DPMS, in airsoft someone else makes them (they are real brands for real guns) and it is not exclusive. The value of the item should reflect the quality/durability if your source is respectable.

Try these venues for upgrades and accessories as they are active on this sight, most of them.

The $13 one is better than my cheap plastic one that I used to have. I had to DRAW a red dot on it with a marker. Yea. Exactly.

dealextreme scopes are always alternative if you are cheap on these kind of accessories. No one can beat dealextreme's price !! They have a lot of Tasco replica.
