[Whoops...didn't see Griff had already posted this....sorry.]

Here's a really helpful link...

How to Completely Strip a TM 1911

For that screw...make sure you're using the right sized bit to get full torque/contact. Try tightening it just a little (easy does it) to break the threads loose, then unscrew it. Be sure to press down as you're unscrewing.

Best of luck.

My attempt at those product photography on a lot of the TM brochores and gun magazines....
Note the comp on the 1911 is not on....this particular barrel does not fit the comp, and the barrel needed for the comp is on my new Hi-Capa...til that gun gets its own barrel and slide this is what the 1911 uses...

Wow those are some really neat pics.
BTW; that little annoying screw finally gave up after me and a buddy of mine both gave it all we got. Whew. Damn, did ehobbyasia melt the screw on the frame or something?

Hi guys!
Probably a long forgotten thread but I thought I'd share a pic of my Bruce Springfield just to say "hi" from the Greek Airsoft community and to pay my respects to all Canadian Airsofters.

Stay safe!

Almost everything is by NOVA, mostly external work, not much internal upgrades but it shoots around 300fps with Green Gas on a warm summer day in Athens.

Very nice! I have a similar build, based around an MEU... all silver with mostly Nova components on a Shooters Design frame.

Thanks!
I would love to see a pic of your build also.

I'm currently building a Kimber Warrior based on a TM MEU but I can't seem to make up my mind what kit to use (PGC/ProWin - NOVA). Any suggestions?

For the Bruce Project, I managed to glue in the real steel threads on the NOVA body so I can use real steel screws which gave it that extra bling but that can't happen on a PGC/Pro Win body...
Moreover, I have a hunch that NOVA bodies can accept real steel NOVAK sights easier, and that would bring me closer to tritium sights.

Attached is a sample pic of my build. It's not complete, yet. I'm trying to get a stainless steel outer barrel custom built. I'm not digging the aluminum one - way too light. I'm also swapping out the hammer set. The trigger's already been swapped out with an ILLusion Kinetics 3 hole trigger that's actually adjustable.

I'm in the progress of doing a complete round-up head to head review of all brands. I have PGC/Pro-Win, Nova, Shooters Design, Guarder, and VFC all together. I can't give you full results yet, as I'm still waiting on the Guarder and VFC kits, but of the QUALITY kits, I would say the Nova kit has the nicest fit and finish, whereas the PGC/Pro-Win kit went together with the least amount of effort (buy a Tanio Koba slide spacer to make your job easier.) Added bonus of the PGC/Pro-Win kit is that it comes with a reinforced piston head and enhanced recoil spring.

Nice build Journey

Bri, some of the makers are
CNC'd and some are cast, be
sure to make that clear in
your review, pweese.

I don't recommend sanding
and polishing a cast slide or
frame, nightmare...

Yes, that was one of my planned notes. The review discusses fit, finish, weight gain, problems, manufacturing, and included accessories with the packages. The only cast ones are the Guarder and VFC kits.
