yeah, that is a pain in the ass. just take your time. put hammer spring on hammer, hammer in 93, and slide in the spacer, then the pin.
use an allen key if it helps you hold the parts in place before sliding in the pin (76) |

I find it WAY easier to not put tension on the hammer spring until you have the hammer assembly back together. Just let the tail of the spring hang down, position all the parts and try to keep the striker in place, put the pin though, then lift the hammer spring tail up and plop on the ledge. Might have to bend the corner of the ledge a bit to fit the spring through, but it works like a charm, with the added benefit of having that hook on the ledge keeping the spring tail in place.

Dear all, finally managed to reassemble the hammer assembly after several frustrating tries. Problem is, its still messed up and wont fire! Worse now in fact! I noticed the striker isnt hitting the gas release button hard enough to release the gas from the mag. Weak hammer spring perhaps?
Relay arm misalingment seems to be out of the window now, since the relay arm is snug and in perfect contact with its parts. Quote:
Thanks for the tip, tried doing what you said, but it still didnt work. So it could be something else. |
