KJW Hi-Capa KP-05
Let start slowly ,
I have played only one game ( 2 mags ) and around 6 other mags at home. I have bough it new.Everything was working fine, I remove the upper part to have access for the hop up and reassemble everything. Nothing except taking the upper and putting it back on. Now the gun have some weird problems. I try lubing it with silicone oil but still having the same problems, so i really clean it to remove all silicone and it was doing the exact problems. Maybe it can help knowing that it happens one time that i drop a magazine on pavement .. but the problems happends with both mags ( have 2 KJW mags ) Sometime can fire 3 or 4 shot without problems after that all the propane goes out , OR seems like not having enough pressure to feed the bb through the inner barrel. I cannot really well explain all the troubles i have with it because is not doing everytime the same problem. Will try to upload a small video on youtube .... Thanks

change your maglip/feedlip. it's the plastic thing that feeds the BBs on the mag. They have a few at ehobby.
probably damaged that part, releasing more BBs than it shoot per blow back Last edited by Skladfin; August 31st, 2009 at 14:11.. |

ILLusion sells them too, Probably much faster and easier then buying from Ebaybanned.
Also, in future i recommend you stick with TM high-capa mags, you will find them to be much higher quality and both sizes (5.1 and 4.3) will work fine in a KJW KP-05

you could always send it off to a gundoc to them to check it out.
Do you know anyone in your area with a working TM/WE/KJW high capa mag you could borrow to test out?

In your other thread, you said something about "needing a new one"
I wouldn't ditch this gun just because of this. If you can't find a local mag, try sending it to a good gundoc, maybe they can help you out

i won't ditch this one ..... but prefer to have always a spare !! pistol/shotgun games are my favorites , so if having only one pistol and it's failing ........ I will repair this one and just buy another one ....

The mag lip is ONE of a problem. When reloading the lip doesn't retain correctly the bbs and let them enter the hop up 3 at the time which jammed the normal operation of the gun. I have remove cleaned and reinstal and was able to shoot almost like normal again .... and found my REAL gun problem.
It the cylinder ... i don't know why but it look like the cylinder have trouble coming back into the piston. The cylinder spring is normal, the ring head is not damage and the ring is not broken. When firing , load the first bb , fire and then the normal action --) the trigger push the propane valve which push the propane through the cylinder and the barrel. Then the slide go back , the cylinder go back and finally the hammer is reset , then the slide went back to the original position taking a bb in is way and loading it the hop up to be ready to fire again. On what i have notice is the cylinder return AFTER firing. I look like the cylinder stay stucked into the hop up , like the cylinder return spring is not stiff enough to bring back the cylinder into the piston. Add a defective mag lip which is letting 3 bbs out at the time and a cylinder that is not able to moved back to his original position ..... So my solution ??? ---) need to talk with Illusion 1- New mag lip ( each mag ) 2- New cylinder assembly with new ring and ring head 3- Stiffer recoil spring ??? 4- New piston ??? 5- Stiffer cylinder return spring ??? Thanks

Mag lips are not the issue.
You have to change the loading nozzle, and possibly the rocket valve. The nozzle is the red part and the rocket valve is the blue part inside the nozzle. If your feeding lips are broken, you will see the marks/crack in it. If it holds the BBs fine outside the gun, and then you rack the slide manually once, loading only one BB, it is the nozzle/rocket valve. |

My mag lips are not broken but only a gentle tap on them and at least half of the bbs will be thrown away.
Anyway will change at least the cylinder ... Thanks

m'eh! clone mags... buy only marui mags... even for clone guns... if they are that loose you have 2 options... new feed lips(the purple upgrade ones or oem tm) or heat these with a non direct flame and close the lips together a little. (did that to a army g17 mag that was doing this)
