Gas Magazine problem
I just got the new GHK WA M4 magazine, every thing at first seems fine but now Im getting problems, and its a safety hazard in my opinion.
For some reason after few shot (anywhere from 1 to 20) when you fire it the release valve will open and stay open untill all the gas escape. I had this happen today. Basically what I do is: 1) Fill the mag (3-4 seconds, which is near full) 2) Let it sit in the sun (28 degrees celisus) for 2-3 minutes to warm up 3) Load up bb 4) Pre-Rack my M4 Gbb 5) Load up and charge the handle 6) shoot 7) on 2 and 7 (twice happened, different magazine) shot the all the remaining gas escape During the massive release, magazine release button, charging handle cann't work. Hamme is in uncock position. Basically I have to wait until all the gas escape then its good. Background info: *G&P WOC M4 w/ RA-Tech bolt carrier and buffer spring (don't think thats the issue) *I have 5 GHK Magazine, one was stuck to the point where I had to use a hammer to get it out, so 4 operational (That broken one is going towards my pmag conv) *atleast 50% of my mags has this problem *Using propane |

check your RA-TECH bolt carrier group. take it out of the gun and pull on the bolt. the bolt should move freely and should not be at all stiff.
also check the o-ring in the bolt for any damage, it could indicate some issues and make it easier to figure out whats causing your mag to release all the gas. being that this is happening on more than one mag and is almost random i would say that maybe it's not the mags, but rather the boltcarrier/bolt. Just did a test with my expensive HFC134a (man those are hard to find)
I did the test as follow: 134a w/ Stock/ Winter Buffer Spring and Stock Bolt Carrier--NO ISSUE 134a w/ Summer Spring/ AR Buffer Spring and Stock Bolt Carrier --NO ISSUE 134a w/ Stock/ Winter Buffer Spring and RA-Tech Bolt Carrier--NO ISSUE 134a w/ Summer Spring/ AR Buffer Spring and RA-Tech Bolt Carrier --NO ISSUE Propane w/ Summer/ AR Buffer Spring and Stock Carrier --NO ISSUE (it was the first thing I did) Propane w/ Winter/ Stock Buffer Spring and Stock Carrier --NO ISSUE Propane w/ any kinds of Buffer Spring and RA-Tech Bolt Carrier --Major Gas release issue. I check the bolt carrier the O-Ring is compeltely intact like new, same as the Stock one The bolt moves smoothly and is nearly swimming in Silicon Oil (Dont want to use WD-40 since it touches hopup) The Only thing that might be a factor to the cycling of the firing mech is the stock tube is a lil loose you slide it from 4-8 o clock (My armourer's wrench is on the way) I don't have any other mags so far other than GHK. My enchanced AGM one is coming in soon. |

I have a similar problem with my pistol.
The air nozzle rubber (or rubber lip magazine), the one on top of the magazine, doesn't get to the air nozzle (making a tight seal with it). Some gaz goes into the blowback chamber while the BB is fired but it doesn't make enough pressure to fully cycle because it all goes around inside/outside the gun. So the valve is not released allowing the gaz to fully empty like a "pppppssssshhhhhhhttt...". That rubber part shouldn't look flush with the top of the magazine. It could be damaged or used. What you could do is move that rubber part from that magazine to another magazine just to see if it will start doing the same. This is how I found the problematic part. |

Im not following you, are you talking about the gas release part and the nozzle? There's no rubber or o-ring between em. For now all the mag seems to work fine once again. I didn't have any of this problem. But that was charging the gas and leaving it for 1/2 hour. I'm suspecting mine has a leak as it doesn't hold much gas after a while
