This make a big difference in how the firearm hangs on you. With the VCAS it hangs in front, muzzle down in a ready position. With fixed two point slings they are good for sling the rifle over your shoulder basically. If you try to hang it the same way, it will flip upside down, because they mount to the bottom of the firearms. The retention pull loop is counter intuititve. Instead of pulling forward towards the weapon to tighten the slack it loosens the slack. It is very difficult (perhaps not broken in) to tighten the sling back up in 2 pt configuration. What is good/and bad is the lock jaw, it won't come free but is difficult to to mount onto the forward position on your rifle without 2 hands. a HK clip would have been better and I'm probably going ot remove the jaw for one. My VTAC sling clost 25,00 CAD. has none of the issues I have with the MS2 and with the addition of a HK clip and a small D ring it functions exactly like a MS2. Another excellent 1 to 2 points convertable sling is the EMDOM sling. |
