What good are old stock motors?

I've amassed quite a collection of old ferrite motors which are just stock pieces of shit.

Can I do anything with these?

Is it as easy as dropping new stronger magnets in?

I've read briefly about frankentorques but it was really just buying a new shs can at roughly 30$ which is the price of a decent torque motor anyways.

Depends on what all motors you have. Good for parts n such tho.
Some of the stock motors are prety decent, the JG blue motor comes to mind.

Its not worth the price of rebuilding them to be good, when an awesome motor is just $60
Ferrite magnet motors work amazingly well in LMGs, but they still need to have good bearings, and good windings.

you could keep some of the armatures to eventually make some frankentorques.. just wait for some dead motors or actively look for some. Arms get cooked from time to time even in nice motors so it's possible that guys might have a few laying around.

About the same use as dead batteries you can put them in a sock for hunting dangerous or delicious animals... Other than that I don't even bother selling them for the 5-10$ you would get.

Salvage what you can? Backup pinion gears wouldn't hurt if you or someone you know ends up stripping theirs.

take turns sticking them on the fridge... which ones can hold their own weight? most ferrous motors can't, and if they stick with any authority they could actually be neo magnet cans.

for ARMs you'll need to take them apart and do your best to count the wires... though you may be able to google that info if you know the brand and model of the motors.

Stripe them for parts and frankentorques.

Best parts are motor brushes, springs and armartures.

Spare parts. I've built a few FT motors using them & burned up neo can motors. Just put them into the junkyard parts bin and save for snowy day
