Stocking Stuffer
I've been thinking about getting a buddy of mine one of those Mini AEGs made by TM. I did some research on it, and it appears that UHC also makes the same line as TM. Does anyone know if there are any differences between the TMs and the UHCs? Also, I searched them up on here, and there was a topic a while back about how these would make it past customs even without the help of a retailer, because of the fact that it's not 1:1, or even close to 1:1 scale, therefore not being a replica? Does this still stand?

I would not bet money, or a CBSA blacklist, or criminal charges, or fees on that.

Actually, it does work, because its not a 1:1 scale model and obviously a toy, you will be able to import it in. My buddy from came back from japan and brought over a mini mp5 and went through customs no problem.

I think he's referring to the TM boys series. Those are illegal to import since they aren't significantly different in size than the full sized version.

No, I speak of the actual MINI AEGs, not the Boys series.

You have been around for a couple month so you should know the answer already.
It all depends on how the Custom Officer judges the product. |

Well, yeah. Like I said, it's not 1:1 scale, or even close. It's got a really....chibi? feel to it.

No clue why you'd want that thing but it's legal to import since they are really, really, really far from replica.

I've seen more realistic then that at local Dollar Stores.
Still, it's up to you- there's a minimal risk, but it still exists.

the only difference between that mini gun and one you can get at Toys R Us is the fact that the mini is painted to look like that of the real gun.

Alright, I've decided that I'll order one. Any difference between any of the TM models, other then the AUG having more ammo?

IIRC, Canadian Tire stocks a mini MP5 for about 40$. It's clear, but since this is a gag gift anyway...
