Russian loadout sidearm? Makarov, Tokarev, Skorpion?
Hey guys,
just wondering what players like using as a back up when doing their Ruski thing... Was thinking of a Skorpion SMG (and the snazzy leather holsters you can get for them). But the main thing I would love to get would be a Tokarev or Makarov pistol. The only one I can find is the Hudson Tokarev GBB, but that is sold out everywhere and looks like its out of production. Anyone hear anything on a Airsoft Russian pistol in the pipeline?

Hudson is notorious for making shitty gas blow backs. Your best bet with the Tokarev's that are actually usable for airsoft is the Bell Tokarev, which is a full metal springer.
There aren't any Makarov's made by any airsoft company, however I don't think it will be too long until we see one. There have been reports of some units within Russia's army using Glock variants, so it wouldn't be too far off if you had a Glock in your loadout. |

There is a way how to convert CO2 Makarov into airsoft, people back home replace barrels, feeding system and lower FPS. You can also try to get working Hudson TT33 if springer is not good enough. I saw working Hudson TT few weeks ago, I hear that most of them are crap, but I guess some working pistols are out there.

Fuck, now that I've seen a pic of Bell springer I'd say don't get it. It doesn't look anything like airsoft TT. I won't even talk about differences between real deal and Hudson.

Hmmm... the Bell springer does look kinda wrong, but for $12 you cant complain too much!
I have a 1960-80's Soviet loadouts, so I need a pistol from that era. I am a big fan of pistols in a airsoft game, you never know when you might need one (especially lugging a RPK around CQB buildings) hence the need for a sidearm. May just go with the Skorpion till someone realeases a proper Soviet GBB pistol! Not accurate for Guards Mechanized infantry, but it is at least in the Communist camp!
