Are 6mm bbs exactly 6mm?
Just curious if anyone has really accurate microcalipres, I have rather cheap plastic ones. It's not often projectiles are the dimensions they say they are, so I'm just curious.

Nope, 6mm BBs can vary a bit (relatively) in diameter depending on brand, off the top of my head we're talking about differences in the 0.0##mm range and always under under 6mm (so all BBs are 5.9##mm-something). Better BB brands are closer to 6mm and more consistent with their brothers and sisters, cheaper BBs are not. According to ILLusion, Guarder's the best when it comes to BBs. Crossman, with their *visible* seams, represent the other end of the spectrum.

Guarder BBs usually give the highest FPS as they are relatively larger than other BBs.

Here's somethng neat I came across regarding precision BBs. Looks like they are made this way, then have a softer plastic applied to the surface then polished to size and finish.

I personnaly use Stealth bb's, and i've measured a couple of them, just for the kicks... (was also worried about my 6.03 barrel and jamming possibilities). I ended up having a range of 5.97mm to 6.01mm, on around 30 bb measured. So I guess you can say they are ALMOST 6mm. (Never jammed in my 6.03 btw
 )
