Hey guys!

By seeing your great Paintjobs the desire grew and grew to have a PJ, too.

can you help me?

I saw simulated pj's, but how did you do this?

And what colours would you use?

I thought to olive, brown and green. :innocent:

I found not many pics, so I'm not sure....

Heres what I think might be the most effective paint job on a gun Ive ever seen. I think this was originaly painted for use in Afghanistan. Then painted over a bit with green for what Im guessing is training in a temperate woodland environment. Simulating a camo cant be nearly as effective as making your gun look really dirty and muddy.

Ya Ive got some larger pictures. Looking closely at the pictures you can tell that they used a paint brush. And used their fingers to just smuge it around. The painted is raised up and gives it a textured look. So I dont think they used sprey paint. Maybe they just used latex paint like you would use on the walls in your house.

I don't remember the exact way of doing it, but some people used to do camo paintjob on their mountainbikes with vaseline and 3 different colors, and the look was pretty close of the ones in the pictures

These pictures are what inspired my paintjobs last year on my G36.

Simple tan basecoat and fingerpaint OD overtop.

It's not the exact same but it worked great. And it let you play around a bit and have fun painting.

Hey,

Slick, the latex paint wont stick well to hard plastic because it is a water based paint. An acrylic enamel (also water based, but more of a plastic then a pigment based paint) will work, the same paints used in modeling. Also look at artists quality oils. One little tube goes a long way. Both acrylic or oils need a base primer, scruff up the surface well. Or plastic spray paint if you dont need detail. Just spray it on and forget about it.

Using sponge brushes prevents brush streaks too.
