the inner barrel actually moves a heck of a lot less than the outer, and by the time that it moved the BB is long gone....not quite sure on the benefit, maybe saves a bit of gas. If one is so hell bent on trying to minimize all the movement and "GBB-ness" of gas guns you might as well shoot NBB or AEPs....
