Well I couldn't leave it be till tomorrow. Took the dremel out. Took off a bit. It has helped for sure, but I need to take more off.
I think I may have tried too hard to turn it though, think I may need a replacement disc... oops.
Any suggestions for a good replacement for that piece?
Oh something else I was wondering - on the plasticc version, when you want to take that selector disk out, you just pop the plastic piece off on the other side and voila - you can access the inside with a screw driver. I tried today on this metal body and could not for the life of me do that with this body. I ended up dremeling a phillips drill bit that I could slide inside and twist with a pair of pliers. Does this panel actually come off or is it just cosmetic and not able to be removed???
