If you haven't read the Gen 2 updates in Tokyo 7's thread, you probably should.
Having own both HK416 before, it all depends on what you're after.
IF you own the Gen 1 before and has maintenance done to it,, if it doesn't give you any grieve, and don't intend to use it for high FPS, keep the Gen 1 shouldn't be too much of a problem.
But if you haven't own a JG HK416 before... this is definitely one of the best Chinese AEGs I've owned before and a significant improvement over the first version. It comes with a 6.04mm tightbore, high-torque motor, good air compression, good mechbox shell, full metal teeth piston, full metal 1 piece-hop-up unit and MOSFET etc. out of the box.
