I actually picked up one of these (mostly out of curiosity) Y&P Mk23's some time ago. I don't have the accuracy problem that many, many people have had with the silencer, and I would assume that I'm the exception and not the rule. I do find it as quiet as the TM version, so that's a plus. I do also appreciate the gas consumption with this gun, but personally, I think it'd be a safe bet that the TM one has the same benefit. Finally, it was also a dirt cheap purchase - in the realm of a mid-grade Springer pistol.

So that really only leaves me with the "unique qualities" that make this weapon worse than the TM version -

1. Rediculously long trigger pull (except when it's empty of the magazine, but why would you care about trigger pull at that point anyway?). Say goodbye to firing quickly.
2. Magwell is rough, and too large for the magazine. This often allows the magazine to "twist" inside just enough to get stuck about 3/4's of the way into the gun. Say goodbye to changing magazines quickly.
3. Lack of any sort of external trades, unusual "ribbing" on the nose of the slide which isn't incredibly realistic. Purely asthetics, but still noteworthy.

Now it isn't the worst NBB Pistol I've ever used, but it fairs exactly the same as what you'd expect for the price paid. There should be no surprises about this weapon. I'd probably recommend anyone do exactly what you did - just save up a little bit more, and get the time-tested TM one. It's still pretty affordable.
