More often than not...the optics will be higher than the iron sights...but the mount/base will block the usage of the iron sights.
You can get the "old-fashioned" HK-claw mount...which is quite high to begin with...and then mount your optics to that. The mount has a "tunnel" so you can still aim with your iron sights if your scope get's knocked out of alignment, or your RDS battery dies.
On some models (i.e. CA) the mounts attach quite securely (i.e. no wobble). On others...they don't quite fit...and if they squeezed hard enough to hold, they'd risk cracking the plastic body.
There is a "large" MP5 handguard....not sure if it's made anymore...and it's kind of weird looking. Aside from that...most foregrips can only hold mini batteries (i.e. small 2/3A sized cells). The largest capacity one I've seen is 1500mah...and it does fit.

ah ic i'll try the cantilever mount, looks nice =]
aw dayumn well 1500 is wut 1500 shots at 8.4 v? *sigH* 3300 would be nice
well le'ts see 200 bb's per high cap clip = 12 clips... taht's def enough haha

ah... but then for that higher rof, u'd need a full stock... I think i''ll stick with collapsable just cuz i guess higher rof is kinda pointless

oh that's sick, but why is semi more preferred?

DO NOT buy a "butterfly" 9.6v 2200mah "mini" battery...they suck. Actually, they serve a purpose...but I've never found them usefull.
Big batteries have big cells...big cells can better provide more power in a sustained manner.
Higher voltage will increase ROF...larger Mah (typically...because you're into bigger cells) will result in increase ROF.
Defcon regularly plays full auto...area51 was full auto...a big burst hurts like a mofo...

haha ouch hm this is making me think just to stick with nonfull stock, but it has so many uses, but thing is i like looke of mp5j,a3,a5,navy so muuuch =S
