The centre screw on the motor plate is not meant to be tightened all the way. You should NEVER touch that unless you have a motor height issue, which it sounds like you have now...
Basically, you've more than likely jammed the motor way to high into the mechbox and it's now jammed. try loosening that screw until it fires and turns smoothly..
