yeah the grooves don't line up perfect. I noticed that the first time I put it together and I have no idea what can I do to address that. The slide just travel to the furtherest forward point it can and then stop there, which I guess is dictated by where the lugs on the barrel meets the slide, OR where the loading nozzle meets the hop-up. I think the slide more or less sits at the same spot regardless what setup I have, I mean I always have a bit of rail sticks out the back of the slide on the hammer side, and that doesn't seem to change before when I have my SD slide or now with the AS set....
I might have been able to mill my hybrid slot a little bit short so that the slide bottoms out on the exhaust port, but that'd mean the piece will stick out a tiny bit up front. And when I had the slide on the mill I definitely was not thinking about that.....
personally I don't mind how the grooves are executed on the kit, I see having them going slightly over the rail as keeping some sort of continuity going, since the 3 grooves are the defining feature of this slide/frame combo, use them as a character lines that overrides any other feature just emphasize on the stylistic choice of putting those grooves there in the first place....
