It might sounds weird but... sometimes when a gun jams and you don't have a fuse, if you hold the trigger for too long you can burn the motor and/or the battery. Maybe your battery is dead now.
You should try with a bigger battery, or check the wiring inside, maybe the trigger wiring is making a bad contact.
And for gear timing... well after each shot the gun reset it's timing itself (with the cutofflever).
