He might have a specific project in mind, in which case it something like that cannot just be replaced by something that is missing the stamp, just wouldn't be accurate.

True, but you're treading on pointless when you have an RS grade sight (ptw's carry handle), and dump 150-200 on a sight that does EXACTLY the same thing!
Plus, IIRC, alot of the older Mk18's had cut down carry handle sights... not these fancy LMT ones.. (correct me if I'm wrong)..
