Mainland Chinese QC is lower than Japanese and Hong Kong. The JG preassembled mechboxes are from what I've seen low quality knock offs of TM, so no real performance parts, only thing good about TM is the reliability. If you make a mechbox out of Modify or Deep Fire parts you can test fit everything ahead of time, check the items for manufacturing faults, do the shimming and greasing yourself, etc. etc. It would end up being far better than a JG mechbox, though cost probably more than double. Mainland Chinese performance parts are still better than Mainland Chinese discount parts. It would still be better to use Japanese parts, but modify and deep fire have so far impressed me fairly well with cost vs. quality, just need to pay more attention and inspect more when you receive them than you do with Japanese parts.
My original comment about country of origin and QC was more in reference to test fitting parts, not installing parts that had faults in them, bad shimming, bad greasing, etc.
And my WACOM tablet reference doesn't work, turns out its made in Japan.
