Those Tamiya connectors are really power robbing shitty connectors, and while you are at the hobby shop, if they carry Dean's connectors they probably stock Dean's "wet noodle" wire, available in several gauges such as 16 ga, 14ga and 12 ga. If you don't think that Tamiya connectors are crappy, do a LOT of shooting and feel the connectors, if they are warm, that means you are losing a lot of power in resistance in the connector and not sending it to the gearbox!
