hehe, anyways good job man. as for painting, sprays are the best, and I would add to Crunchmeister's advise by saying sand it 1st! make sure you get all the orange and any undercoats/finishes off of the metal. it should be shiny silver when you are done. This will ensure that the paint will stick perfectly with no flaws! Good luck.
