If yours is the same as mine,
- plug in the charger, the light should flash green/red and then go off.
- set the charging rate to whatever you want (I set it to "low" for mini cells and "high" for sub-c cells)
- plug in the battery, the light should go to red
- when it's finished, the light should be green
If you don't get any light at all...try a different battery on the charger. If the charger senses it and goes red, charges it and then goes green, you know the charger is good.
Take the battery that didn't work and try it on a different charger. Or leave it on a wall charger for 15-20min. Then try it on the new charger. I came across a battery once that needed a "jump-start" to be recognized by the smart charger...I suppose that it was really low.
