I did all that too, the only thing heating up that I noticed was I had my finger on the fuse and it was warming up after a few seconds of pulling the trigger but didn't test the wires themselves.

I'm getting pretty fed up with it, I was talking to m102404 and he is willing to do some gun smithing for me so I think I'm done with tinkering. So I think I might zip down to the GTA and drop off my guns and just pay the man and be done with it.
