I'm not sure there's really much in there by way of additive besides the odorant.

The North American HD-5 standard is >=90% Propane, <=5% Propylene and <=2.5% Butane and other stuff (if I recall correctly.. someone more fluent in this stuff might wanna correct me [I'm looking at you, MadMax]).

Coleman's Pronane MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) indicates the odorant (ethyl mercaptan) is present in <0.1% quantities [sidenote: 0.1%?? DAMN that stuff must stink like crazy!]

And there's also seals present on stoves and other propane-powered appliances. A lot of Coleman stoves have a gas regulator, too. I'd think the gas would be pretty safe on seals when said seals are sitting inches away from a 3000 BTU (or whatever power) flame.
