True, but technically you only really need to see where the gun is pointed, and you really should be paying attention to what's around the corner, etc. first anyway, even if you aren't going to remain exposed to fire. The same type of tunnel vision applies to magnified scopes as well.

They do have right angle viewfinder adapters for SLRs/dSLRs

(and they're about $150, too :P )
