I recently attended ShotShow to look over new airsoft goodies and to show my upcoming grenade to retailers and other reporters covering airsoft interests at ShotShow. I've got a lot of after action work to do before my reviews get posted, but I'll be trickling pics out as I compose my thoughts.
I bumped into reporters from Airsoft Retreat (ASR) and decided I didn't like their attitude so I blew them up in my motel bathroom. These pics were captured with my DSLR shooting motor drive:

The pic sequence is pretty interesting. The first frames have longer less bright bb streaks because the pellets are moving faster. Then you start seeing more streaks that are shorter and moving in more randomized directions, notionally because they're secondary or tertiary reflections.
I hadn't initially realized that a DSLR on motor drive would capture all that much. I'm going to have to give it another try with a better lighting setup and a dark background. Hopefully I can work with a tighter aperture to get a better depth of field to catch more bbs in focus. Currently these pics were taken with F5.0 which is pretty low. Most of the bbs are either out of focus or against a low contrast background. There is one bb streak against Andrews back on an earlier shot so DOF can't be all that bad.
