instead of hemming and hawing whenever I have the grip down, I just replaced it with the steel grip

if you put a big ass scope there, you might need high instead of med mounts
I find I like med better, as I dont have to crank my head at weird angles to scope in; and high looks weird
more expensive scopes are (usually) meant for real steel rifles, and will hold a zero even after getting kicked around by recoil
cheaper ones are meant for airguns, generally speaking
