According to the written law and the CFC....yes they are. The whole replica thing underwent major changes in the last couple of years, and one point (of note) was under safe storage and transport of replicas; replicas must be stored, displayed, and transported in the same manner as required with real fire arms.
Now most enforcement agencies don't really care about this when dealing with airsoft, but when they want to play hard ball, they can, and will, nail you to the wall. All charges regarding replicas transfer to the Criminal Code of Canada as if they were real fire arms.
