Yeah, but they were wrong. The definition of replica firearms is quite clear, anything that's explicitly made to and does look like real guns. When the CBSA say airsoft guns are replica firearms, it's because 99.9% of airsoft guns are replica firearm. They do not need to separatly classify every single individual model from every single airsoft manufacturer to deem airsoft guns that look like real guns as replica firearms. It's the same way that they don't need to separately classify every individual model from ever single automobile manufacturer to deem cars that fit the definition of cars as cars.
