Something interesting that Lt_Poncho told me a couple years ago, is to grab a bunch of sticks from outside, like small stick, various sizes and shapes, lie them on the side of your thing to be painted, all parallel to each other, spray your coat, then rearrange the sticks elsewhere and spray again. He showed me a couple pics of his doing just that, and it turned out really good and effective.
