Bingo! Any retailer worth his snuff would want to make sure that someone is on the level before selling them something that could be used... "incorrectly" by that individual.
With the delicate state that airsoft is in, it will be easier to sell to someone that is verified here instead of joe blow off the street whom he's never met and has a better chance of being an idiot with the item.
Not trying to speak for the man himself, just stating what is common with many retailers these days. I mean, with the lack of effort it takes to get verified, it's kinda silly not to, especially when it ensures that you will get access to better things.
