A "Stryker" is the wheeled-replacement for the M113 (which has tracks).

Strykers have multiple weapon and configuration options (25mm Bushmaster, 105mm gun, TOW missles). They will withstand all but shaped charges (like RPGs) or anti-tank weapons. M113 won't even stop AP small arms rounds (aluminum armour? Whoever thought of that should be shot). Wheels are far superior to tracks for speed, maintenance and stealth. M113 has no offensive armament, unless a GI puts a .50 on it somewhere.

M113 designed in the 1950's. Stryker designed in the 1990's.

Never confuse freedom with democracy.
