I got "verified" at ASCA twice, once about 4-5 months ago and once 6-7 months ago and it still hasn't been processed.
It's just a waste of time to put in the effort I feel, wait till you make it out to a game and show your ID there. If you get verified; good for you, if not... not a shocker. People are busy and processing verification for new members isn't high on their to do list. They aren't getting paid for their time and could probably care less.
And honestly; The classifieds aren't worth the trouble. You save 50 bucks to buy used in most cases and you have no idea what the guns have been through. Support the real retailers who sell new products with a certain degree of guarantee you'll get a new and quality product.
