It came from

I got the Unicorn AKS-74U in today. Im a happy! It f@#$%^g rocks! Nice ROF, quick response, all steel (either cast or stamped), shoots at ~340FPS, and it'll hold a 10.8v mini easily. I did find some small issues with the stock and the bolt/hop-up cover. The stock's joint could be shimmed a little although I'm not sure how. I don't see a lot or screws to tighten or a way to take apart the stock. When fully extended the stock sometimes doesn't catch and can come loose with a light slap. The stud inside the stock well is a little small so if it were bigger I think the problem would be solved. Once the stock is correctly extended its solid with no wiggle. The hop-up cover is spring powered and has a large tab that lays between the battery and the MB. There is a path for it to follow but its not defined enough to call it a track. It kinda sits in there. When the upper receiver is closed the unit is fine but the tab can get stuck on the battery. When its working properly it has a nice metallic slap. Its all fit and finish but for $135 you cant complain. The paint on the flash hider just flaked off. I scrapped it off with my fingers in 10 minutes. The flash hider unscrews, an adapter unscrews and there are 14mm threads. So, it'll take after market muzzle devices. It really looks good, it feels good and its load! Its report is a nice sharp snap. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a small AEG. A must have for an AK fan. I'll put up some pictures later.
I took some measurements.
29" stock extended
<20" stock folded
<~14" of battery storage
The wiring is in 18ga
There are Russian trade marks
laminated wood fore grips
The upper receiver is spring powered. Once the receiver tab is pushed in the top opens and stay open. I found that once everything is inside and the cover is closed, the tab stick but if you rack the bolt it push it out.
I believe you would want a battery with a width of not more than 3/4" I have AA cells in mine. There is a little play but not much. At most I think you could get 4/5A or 2/3A cells to fit. Basically you need some form of mini battery. You could fit a 14.4v 1500mah (2/3A) mini battery.
the pencil point to the tab in the stock well the needs to be bigger.
the pencil points the space in the stock joint that could be shimmed.
the bolt cover is stuck again.
the hop-up cover just sits on top of the MB
again...
notice the measuring tape
