the M24 is spring powered and thus not affected by weather (cold, heat). The M700 is gas powered, it is more consistent via the right weather condidtions and is also quieter than the M24. I beleive that it is easier to achieve higher fps from a propane powers rifle than it is from a spring rifle (or so i have read). hope that helps you!
