Pretty much the only thing that you can/should buy that will prevent the rest of the system from NOT eating the shit out of each other is a 450+ fps spring...
With a 9.6v battery, you're looking at a ~400fps setup.
If you want to be safe, get an 8.4v battery. Personally, I've run setups that have gone up to 430fps PERFECTLY with an 8.4v 2400mAh Ni-cad sub-C large battery pack. Beyond that, you can run such a setup with a 9.6v fairly safely, but I would HIGHLY recommend against 10.8v until you start going in to triple/ultra-torque gear sets with 450+fps springs.
The last time I used a 10.8v pack, was on a 550fps spring setup...
