I'm ozmike from Australia. Why am I here? Bucause our Australian forum has been hit with DoS attacks among other things and will be down for a while. I'm a newbie and I'm a little lost. So, I hope you guys won't mind spending a moment helping me with a couple of Q's relating to M4's.
I don't own anything yet, but I'm licensed in Aus to own rifles and I'm over 18, of course
I am looking at the G&P M4 RAS II mainly. It seems to be a well-made item with good performance in stock form. I also like the TM item but am not a hge fan of the plastic body (it's going to get thrown around the Australian bush). I have heard that it (G&P) needs a few adjustments before you use it, because of some factory.. err.. 'thingsthat aren't optimal' for lack of better words.
Can anybody elaborate on this or perhaps suggest a better path for me? A $1500AUD System is not happening, so don't even bother. But I can spend a little on upgrades, perhaps $500 ($439CAD) or so.
I have seen people pointing to these upgrade bits as good for moderately-high fps. Rate-of-fire is not as important, but accuracy is, so I don't want to go crazy with fps:
Angel Silent head kit
Systema Magnum (long)
MOSFET transistor and capacitors - I can whip up myself
M130 or M150 spring with spring guide
Am I on the right track?
