Does the grounding sound only occur when firing in full auto?
What battery are you using?
The symptoms you're describing are typical to a setup that has a ROF that's too high for the system.
If the problems occur only on semi-auto mode, then you need to look at your ROF issues. I'm assuming you're using the 1J spring?
Again, please clarify what battery you're using. I don't think you should be using anything more than a 9.6v battery with that gearbox... I'd actually recommend you stick with an 8.4v battery.
