the sound surpression of silencers on GBBs is decent, you'll hear the difference, the sound the BB coming out of the barrel will be "silenced" but the metal slide blowing back will still be audible (ka-clink).
the sound surpression of silencers on AEGs are acceptable, the BB whoosing from the barrel will be muffled but,of course, the silencer won't silence the mechanical sound of the mechbox.
also keep in mind the accuracy will be affected as well.
