That diagram was just to show how I thought the V2 should have been regarding the pistol grip. I know the wires don't hug both side of the motor. But yeah, my problem is most likely with the motor position inside the grip. I'm pretty confident about the the shimming on my gears and everything inside the mechbox.
Gun doctors or not, with only one screw left to hold the pistol grip to the mechbox, I'm afraid this can't be fixed for now. I'm sure I'll figure it out once I get the new mechbox.
