it will cost you around a hundred just on the parts, if you mean upgrading it internally TO THE MAX. installing should be a bit tricky.
i personally prefer GBBs as they are more fun and realistic.
batteries nowadays claim to have "no memory" so you can charge it even when its 90% or 20% full. but to keep your batt running in top shape, dischargers are reccomended.
for long storages, don't keep gas in your mag, keep only a tiniest squirt of gas so your seals stay fresh.
yes its alright to put gas in your gun and shoot. any amount is fine, it won't do damage.
