if you want to put one in your hand now! and dont want to save up the $700 (or what ever it is) Then yes the JG is a good gun, it shoots prity far and it has a metal mechbox...........BUT

With all the upgrades one might be wanting to do to make the JG a real good gun it will take

mech box (havn't chrono'd yet but stock shoots 280ish)
tightboar (does not come with a full length barrel)
hopup (probably optional for upgrade)
battery (one that comes is small mah)

oh yah. you might aswell pick up a rail mount for a sight or something because the front iron sight is held with a set screw and is a loose fit.

to sum it up you will spent the same or a bit more in the JG once it is all said and done. but you will still have the plasticy feel of the stock and grip.
