well it does, but the whole reason people are now putting barrings on spring guides and piston heads is because allowing the spring to move is much better for the health of the mechbox. Springs like to twist when they compress/decompress. if you don’t let them do that the forces are distributed into the mechbox shell.
The spring guide isnt gonna go anywhere even if you clip its wings. I wasnt recomending that as a solution so much as i was saying if you accidently take one off dont worry about it.
