Sturdy. I did try one out of sheet steel but it was too thin and flexed. That and it dented when shot by BB's.

The wood is hardwood, solid, no flex, and minimum denting. Despite being made 1.5years ago, it is still running strong, and has had over 20k bb's fed through it (don't buy a used gun from me) :P

Mind you I stopped playing with it once I realized that low/mid caps made for more of a fair game. Kind of cheap to sit there having 4000+rounds, pin people down, and just walk towards them... But hey, if you have a proper SAW, then this is the project for you (get an old ammobox and put the same mechanism set-up inside and you are good to go).
